Ashlee Simpson has certainly blossomed since first hitting the stage.

But is her new look the result of plastic surgery?

While it’s been rumoured the 22 year old went under the knife - specifically, to change her nose, Ash never came forth about having surgery.

Ash still won’t talk specifics, yet she did finally open up about those plastic surgery rumours in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

“I loved how I looked. I’m not an insecure person, nor was I before,” she told the mag.

“It’s a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery, it (should be) for yourself, not for anyone else.”

She continued: “I don’t get bothered by people saying what they say. I’m a happy person, and I’m happy with my looks.”

And on the media criticism that Ash has been trying to look more like older sis Jessica, she replied:

“Of course I look like her. She’s my sister. It’s like, God, please! We think it’s quite funny.”
